I realized that I was alone with Louisin the empty hallway. The others had gone.
我意识到空旷的走廊上只剩下了我和路易。其他人都已离去。
"you know who they are?"I whispered.

"I know what they told me," he said, walking along with me" AndI know they told you. And the others obviously know who they are and ther’renot afraid of them. Yet all wait for you to take command, you to greet them andinvite them to your home in France. You are the leader, Lestat, no doubt aboutit. All know it. And these ghosts and spirits or whoever they are - they knowit too."

I stopped. I put my arm around him. I held close to me.
我停下来，用手臂环住他，将他拉近。
"I`m Lestat," I said in a low voice. "Your Lestat. I`m the sameLestat you`re always known, and no matter how I`m changed, I`m still that samebeing."
“我是莱斯特，”我用低沉的声音说道：“你的莱斯特。我一直是你认识的那个莱斯特，无论我变成什么样，我仍然是我。”
"I know, "he said warmly.
“我知道。”他由衷说道。
I kiss him. I pressed my lips to his and I held this kiss for a long silentmoment. And then I give in to a silent wave of feeling, and I took him in myarms. I held him tight against me. I felt his unmistakable silken skin, hissoft shining black hair. I heard the blood throbbing in him, and time dissolved,and it seemed I was in some old and secret place, some warm tropical grottowe`d once shared, ours alone in some way, with the scent of sweet oliveblossoms and the whisper of moist breeze "I love you," I whispered.
我吻了他。把我的唇印在他的唇上，我加深了这个吻，我们静静地吻了很长一段时间。接着，我屈从于情绪的静流，把他揽在怀中，将他拥紧。我感觉到他那光滑无暇的皮肤，他那闪亮柔顺的黑发。我听到他身体里血液脉动的声音，时间静止了，我仿佛置身于某个古老神秘的地点，某个我们曾经同居过的温暖的热带洞穴，带着甜橄榄花开的香气和湿润微风的耳语。“我爱你。”我在他耳边轻声说道。
In a low intimate voice, he answered:"My heart is yours."
带着些许亲昵，他低声回答：“我的心属于你。”
I wanted to weep.
我几欲流泪。
